Rochester City School District – Helen Barrett Montgomery School 50

Pike provided construction management services for additions and renovations to the Helen Barrett Montgomery School No. 50. Construction renovations to the existing 56,000 SF building included technology and ADA electrical upgrades. The majority of the existing HVAC system was replaced and included the addition of central air conditioning and a building energy management system. Renovations also included minor asbestos removal and roof replacement. Other upgrades included enhanced building security, fire alarm, PA, and clock systems.

The new addition consisted of eight new classrooms, two new science rooms, administration suite, student support services, central security station, art, music, and a regulation size gymnasium. Additions also included a new full service state-of-the-art kitchen, cafeteria, a new stage with sound and video projection capabilities, as well as a new library and computer lab. Exterior improvements included a new playground, multi-purpose athletic field, parking and bus loop upgrades, enhanced site lighting, and landscaping.
