SUNY Upstate Medical University, Parking Garage & Pedestrian Bridge

Pike provided construction management at risk services for a new five-story parking facility to accommodate approximately 1,200 vehicles for the SUNY Upstate Medical University Hospital and the construction of a 250-foot pedestrian bridge that connects the new garage to the adjacent hospital.

The pedestrian bridge was built over East Adams Street, the busiest street in Syracuse.

Pike managed 16 contracts for DASNY on the project. Working through the planning and preconstruction phases, Pike has provided DASNY with maximum value on this project that carries a variety of considerations, including an accelerated schedule, safety for employees, staff, patients, and visitors, as well as poor soil bearing conditions on site.

Additionally, Pike provided general construction services for an enabling utility project, in order to allow the project to start on time. The project was completed on time and under budget.
