Pike provided construction management services for Utica City School District’s Capital Project.

These services include pre-referendum, preconstruction and construction management. This phased project included alterations and renovations at the District’s thirteen schools: one high school, two junior high schools and ten elementary schools.

The district included the following improvements into the plan:

Building Envelope Improvements: new roofs at all schools, window and window walls, exterior masonry walls, exterior doors, frames and hardware.

Mechanical System Improvements: boilers, unit ventilators, system controls, limited air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing and plumbing fixtures, domestic hot water systems, and piping.

Electrical System Improvements: new smoke detection and fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, lighting, new electrical systems, panels and distribution, and public address systems.

Building Interior Improvements: asbestos abatement, accessibility (ADA), restrooms, auditorium renovations, lockers, floors, ceilings, interior doors, frames & hardware, and cafeteria improvements.

Site Improvements: drop off and pick up, site drainage, sidewalks, stairs, sanitary and storm sewer, parking lot paving, handrails, ramps and site lighting.

Technology Improvements: district-wide technology improvements were included in all schools.
